Uganda Birding safari -15 Days. s Birding trips are done at the Uganda best birding important areas like Mabamba, Bwindi(Buhoma and Ruhija), Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest, Budongo forest and Murchison Falls National Park In additio to birding, other activities like Gorilla trekking, Game drives, Boat ride ,scenery, cultural visits are encountered which are so much amazing that traveller would never miss. 

Day1: Entebbe-Kampala Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, meet Tailor Safaris professional guide, thereafter transfer to Kampala for your dinner and overnight at  Overnight at Hotel Africana. Meal plan: B/BMeal plan: F/B  Day2: Kampala-Mabamba wetland birding site Breakfast, after meet the guide and thereafter transfer to Mabamba bay Wetland. This is the nearest site for the Shoebill, Lesser Jacana, Blue Swallow, Black-Shouldered Nightjar, Afep Pigeon, Blue Breasted Bee-Eater, Papyrus Gonolek, and White Winged Warbler. The experience is enjoyed while on the dugout canoe paddling; remember to carry yourself packed food, snacks, water such that you spend the whole day birding at this site. Return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B  Day3: Kampala-Lake Mburo National Park Have breakfast from your lodge; thereafter transfer to western Uganda via Masaka-Mbarara high way with en-route stop at the Uganda equator for unforgettable photographs, snacks. Drive to Lake Mburo and you will have your lunch at the lodge, more so as you enter take en-route game drive to spot rare wildlife like Elands, Zebra, Topi, Impala, and much more Acacia grassland wildlife and birds which include water birds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus. After your lunch have an evening game drive to deeply search more of them. Dinner and overnight at Mburo safari lodge. Meal plan: F/B  Day4: Birding Lake Mburo Have breakfast and take dawn bird watching with a game drive with binoculars, cameras to take stunning photographs for birds like Brown Chested Plover, Red Faced Barbet, Southern Ground Hornbill, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Yellow Billed Ox-pecker, African Fin foot, Black Collard Barbet. Lunch and afternoon take boat trip to spot variety of wildlife and birds along the banks of the Lake. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B  Day5: Lake Mburo-Bwindi impenetrable National Park Breakfast, embark our safari truck and drive to Bwindi with en-route game drive continue through the lush hills birding en-route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Ruhija sector). This is a Montane Forest with patches of bamboo, Montane Marshes and Medium altitude forests. Endemics that can be seen include the most exciting being the African Green Broadbill, Grauer's Rush Warbler, Short Tailed Warbler, Rwenzori Turaco, Purple Breasted Sunbird, Regal Sunbird, Kivu Ground Thrush, Montane Masked Apalis, Red Faced Woodland Warbler, Olive Green Camaroptera, Handsome Francolin. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija lodge/Gorilla mist. Meal plan: F/B  Day 6: Birding Mubwindi swamp Have breakfast, go to Mubwindi Swamp for the whole day birding and later transfer to Buhoma birding en-route, with our Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas Meal plan: F/B  Day7: Gorilla tracking . Have your early heavy breakfast, after proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the do’s and don’ts while search and when you meet the gorillas. After enter into the jungle to search for the shy mountain gorillas, the experience is either whole/half day depending the movement of the primates. As you prepare to search the gorillas carry yourself the walkable shoes, rain gears, hut, insect repellents, sun screen, standard cameras and packed lunch and bottled mineral water. When you meet the gorillas sit down to spend your 1hour allowed hour seeing the gorillas playing and take photos but no flash light. After being filled with this unforgettable experience return to your lodge. With time available and still energetic embark on foot community walk to the typical Bakiga homes, local traditional healers, local breweries, local schools, Batwa cultural performances and cultural craft shops. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B  Day 8: Bwindi-Queen National Park Breakfast, go for community visit and after filled with community experience return to lodge for lunch and after to Queen Elizabeth National Park home of a total of 604 different bird species. There are also good chances of seeing the tree climbing lions, Elephants and Hippos. Expect to spot birds like African Skimmer, Black Rumped Button Quail, Verreaux's Eagle Owl, Red Footed Falcon, Lesser Flamingoes, Grey Capped Warbler, White’s and Abdim's Storks (in season), Amur Falcon, Ovampo Sparrow hawk, Wooly-necked and Saddle-billed Storks, and numerous classes of Raptors, Vultures and Plovers. Dinner and overnight at Bush lodge. Meal plan: F/B  Day9: Birding Queen National Park Breakfast, after embark our truck for game drive with the main purpose of birding variety of birds Whole day in Queen Elizabeth National Park bird watching while on a game drive both in the morning and in the afternoon returning to the lodge for lunch and Overnight at Bush lodge Meal plan: F/B  Day10: Boat cruise & Birding along the Channel . Have breakfast, after go for a unforgettable game drive with opportunities to spot various species of wildlife, lunch afternoon prepare for a boat cruise along the channel on this day you will channel. The animals and birds to view include the Buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, Hippos, - shallows, Great White and Pink-backed Pelicans, Great and Long-tailed Cormorants, Open-billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers. There is also a Bird Observatory where you can spot local and migratory birds. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B  Day11: Queen national Park-Kibale Forest Early breakfast, embark our safari vehicle and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park as you bird watching en-route with other scenic view of undulating land forms-Lunch en-route. The forest has quite variety of bird life species. They include African Pitta, Grey Winged Robin, Red Winged Francolin, Joyful Green bul, White Bellied Crested Flycatcher, Uganda Woodland Warbler, Abyssinian Ground Thrush, Red Chested Flu tail, Grey Winged Robin, White Napped Pigeon, Chestnut Winged Starling among others. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon. Meal plan: F/B  Day12: Birding in Kibale forest Early breakfast, after take the Sebitoli birding trail to spot various bird species like the Grey-Throated Flycatcher, Masked & Black-Capped Apalis', Chestnut-Winged Starling, Orange -Tufted & Tiny Sunbirds. Return to lodge for lunch and refreshment after spend the evening birding at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to spot the rare shoe bills, Narina Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Yellow Spotted, Hairy Breasted and keep your eyes open to see primates. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B  Day 13: Birding to Semliki the “bird heaven” After your breakfast, head to Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve the birders heaven. As you travel spot species like African Pygmy Goose, Red-necked Falcon, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Blue-Breasted Bee-Eater, Piapiac, Leaf love and Black-chinned Quail-Finch. The most exciting aspect is that new species are still being discovered in the reserve. Lunch at Semliki lodge and after go for the Shoebill search over the boat cruise along Lake Albert. Dinner and overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge.  Day14: Chimp trek in Semliki wildlife reserve Breakfast, after go for Chimp tracking crossing the Mugiri River. In the forest you expect to see the: White-crested Turaco, Eastern Grey Plantain Eater, Mouse birds, Kingfishers and Bee-Eaters, Red-tailed Bristle bill, Red-tailed Ant-Thrush and Blue-breasted Kingfisher. White-spotted Fluff tai, Afternoon, game drive to spot herds of Uganda Kob, Waterbuck, Reed Buck, several monkey species as well as lots of bird opportunities. at this park there is opportunity to take a night drive to spot nocturnal wildlife like Wing Nightjars. Return to lodge for Dinner and overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge. Meal plan: F/B .  Day 15: Semliki-Kampala Have breakfast, after depart to Kampala with lunch en-route, board your return flight back home.
