This is the nearest site for the Shoebill, Lesser Jacana, Blue Swallow, Black-Shouldered Nightjar, Afep Pigeon, Blue Breasted Bee-Eater, Papyrus Gonolek, and White Winged Warbler. The experience is enjoyed while on the dugout canoe paddling; remember to carry yourself packed food, snacks, water such that you spend the whole day birding at this site. Meal plan: F/B Day3: Kampala-Lake Mburo National Park Have breakfast from your lodge; thereafter transfer to western Uganda via Masaka-Mbarara high way with en-route stop at the Uganda equator for unforgettable photographs, snacks. Drive to Lake Mburo and you will have your lunch at the lodge, more so as you enter take en-route game drive to spot rare wildlife like Elands, Zebra, Topi, Impala, and much more Acacia grassland wildlife and birds which include water birds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus. After your lunch have an evening game drive to deeply search more of them. Dinner and overnight at Mburo safari lodge. Meal plan: F/B Day4: Birding Lake Mburo Have breakfast and take dawn bird watching with a game drive with binoculars, cameras to take stunning photographs for birds like Brown Chested Plover, Red Faced Barbet, Southern Ground Hornbill, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Yellow Billed Ox-pecker, African Fin foot, Black Collard Barbet. Meal plan: F/B Day5: Lake Mburo-Bwindi impenetrable National Park Breakfast, embark our safari truck and drive to Bwindi with en-route game drive continue through the lush hills birding en-route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Ruhija sector). This is a Montane Forest with patches of bamboo, Montane Marshes and Medium altitude forests. Endemics that can be seen include the most exciting being the African Green Broadbill, Grauer's Rush Warbler, Short Tailed Warbler, Rwenzori Turaco, Purple Breasted Sunbird, Regal Sunbird, Kivu Ground Thrush, Montane Masked Apalis, Red Faced Woodland Warbler, Olive Green Camaroptera, Handsome Francolin. Meal plan: F/B Day 6: Birding Mubwindi swamp Have breakfast, go to Mubwindi Swamp for the whole day birding and later transfer to Buhoma birding en-route, with our Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas Meal plan: F/B Day7: Gorilla tracking . Have your early heavy breakfast, after proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the do’s and don’ts while search and when you meet the gorillas. After enter into the jungle to search for the shy mountain gorillas, the experience is either whole/half day depending the movement of the primates. As you prepare to search the gorillas carry yourself the walkable shoes, rain gears, hut, insect repellents, sun screen, standard cameras and packed lunch and bottled mineral water. When you meet the gorillas sit down to spend your 1hour allowed hour seeing the gorillas playing and take photos but no flash light. Return to lodge for lunch and refreshment after spend the evening birding at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to spot the rare shoe bills, Narina Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Yellow Spotted, Hairy Breasted and keep your eyes open to see primates. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B Day 13: Birding to Semliki the “bird heaven” After your breakfast, head to Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve the birders heaven. As you travel spot species like African Pygmy Goose, Red-necked Falcon, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Blue-Breasted Bee-Eater, Piapiac, Leaf love and Black-chinned Quail-Finch. The most exciting aspect is that new species are still being discovered in the reserve. Lunch at Semliki lodge and after go for the Shoebill search over the boat cruise along Lake Albert. Dinner and overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge. Day14: Chimp trek in Semliki wildlife reserve Breakfast, after go for Chimp tracking crossing the Mugiri River. In the forest you expect to see the: White-crested Turaco, Eastern Grey Plantain Eater, Mouse birds, Kingfishers and Bee-Eaters, Red-tailed Bristle bill, Red-tailed Ant-Thrush and Blue-breasted Kingfisher.
